Trinity Fort Cochin, Kerala

Giving the feel of a contemporary apartment, Trinity is ideal for those who want a more relaxed and private stay within the historic Fort Cochin. Belying its historic roots as the once Indian headquarters of the Dutch East India Company, this intimate city retreat, showcases the very best of contemporary Indian design & art. Replete with antique furniture and a kaleidoscopic palate, here you will find yourself in a world within. The look of Trinity, resembles that of a smart art gallery, rather than a boutique hotel.

Just a stone through away from the sister property of Relais & Chateaux, Malabar House, Trinity occupies one of the prettiest spots in the historic heart of the city. This tiny hotel has only 8 en-suite rooms, each with a private sit out or balcony, and large well designed bathrooms. With large inviting beds, each room has been tastefully finished with beautiful antiques, bright colours and stylish stone floors, all of which very much embrace the idea of modern India. All the rooms are laid out within two interconnecting buildings, joined by a bridge there is a quaint restaurant set in the courtyard. The wonderful in-house bakery provides tempting aromas to wake to and lots of delicious pastries to see you through the day. Here you also have the luxury to choose wherever you would like to take your breakfast.

Whilst there is no pool within the grounds of the hotel, it is only a moments wander, across to Malabar House, where guests are free to use the facilities, including the bijou pool and Pure Spa, offering rejuvenating treatments.  Again the restaurant is only really equipped for light meals and snacks at Trinity, so it is worth visiting Malabar Hourse with excellent choice of cuisine, or indeed the wealth of independent restaurants and cafes that are all found in and around Fort Cochin.
