Casa Britona, Goa
Casa Britona is a unique, boutique property in Goa overlooking the beautiful backwaters of the Mandovi River. It is located approximately eight miles from Calangute Beach and Old Goa.
Converted from a three hundred year old heritage warehouse, Casa Britona is a special little hotel with only eight rooms and two riverside studios.
The accommodation is designed with classic antique furniture from Goa and Kochi and the some of the rooms have verandahs offering spectacular views of the river and forested surrounding hills. The soft furnishings comprise of hand embroidered linens and the beds draped in soft muslins. This property would also work well as an independent family villa holiday where you could have all the privacy of a villa and the service of a hotel.
Situated off the beaten track in the tranquil fishing village of Britona, the hotel attracts those after an idyllic Goan escape. Explore the surrounding lush green scenery, relax by the pretty turquoise swimming pool or lounge on the deck suspended over the riverbank. This property is perfect for some serious rest and relaxation.
Casa Britona has one restaurant severing a selection of local and international flavours. Due to the bijou nature of the property you can choose where you would like to dine on the grounds.
Britona is very well located in north Goa, and despite its tranquil location is close to the main sights and beaches of the north. When travelling with Greaves we suggest you have a car, driver and guide for a few days and would certainly recommend a day sightseeing the old town of Goa with its Baroque white washed churches and old Portuguese manor houses. Here you are also close to the beaches of Candolim, Calangute and Miramar.
Goa makes for the perfect end to any tour of north or south Goa with excellent flight connectivity to the rest of the country. The main season is from October through to March. Goa can receive heavy monsoons in late spring, early summer.
