Across the five lodges, the signature Amankora suites combine contemporary design with rustic materials, creating a sleek yet convivial atmosphere. Spacious and airy open-plan bedrooms and living rooms have kingsize beds, window seats and traditional wood burners. All ensuite bathrooms, are clad in terrazzo and centre around a large freestanding bathtub.
Amankora Bumthang rests adjacent to the First and Second King's palace, Wangdichholing, within the town of Jakar in the Choekhor valley, a valley sprinkled with an exotic mix of sloping pine forests, apple orchards, and restful fields. The area is home to over 29 temples and monasteries and is a treasure trove of traditional art.
